JERUSALEM – Two assailants attacked passersby armed with guns and axes in an Israeli town Thursday night, killing at least three, according to initial reports from police and emergency services.
The attack was the latest. A wave that had already killed 14 people. From mid-March
Several more people were reported injured in the attack in the ultra-Orthodox town of Elad, in central Israel.
The attack took place the night after, at the end of Israel’s Independence Day, the state was founded in 1948. Palestinians mark the establishment of Israel as a catastrophe, or destruction.
