Buffett later made a lengthy statement claiming that the ointment used to treat dermatitis could lead to a positive test.

Despite Buffett being banned from the race, his two former horses have a good chance of success.
Messier and Tayyiba are among the contenders assigned to former Buffert assistant Tim Yakten, who has been training horses for less than a month for this weekend’s showpiece.
Yaktin says he has not had any discussions with Buffert in the run-up to the race, but some have taken extra notice, arguing that he is the 69-year-old trainer’s horse, in addition to his name.
“I will tell the truth, I did not realize it was going to happen, but I never hesitated,” Yakten told reporters when asked if he had refused to take the horses to his warehouse.
However, Epicenter and Zandon seem to be the two standout picks that are leading the race and both horses have a lot of potential.
Epicenter trainer Steve Smosson is the most successful in North American horse racing history, but he failed to win a derby in all 23 of his attempts.
In the meantime, Zendon has been following an impressive performance for the last time that has established him as a race favorite.
